Bio

Phil Ochs was born in El Paso Texas on December 19, 1940. In the early 60s he started passing his hat around at various open mikes around New York City specifically in Greenwich village. by 1964 he was able to release an album. "All the news that's fit to sing" gained him some well deserved popularity. His second album: "I Ain't marching anymore" was released in 1965 and in 1966 he was able to sell out his solo concert at Carnegie hall
His songs were political and humorous and acessible to all audiences. He sadly took his own life on April 9 in 1976. he was 35. A video of one of Phil Ochs's most rebellious songs
